CEA is growing. Alongside full-time opportunities, we have a steady stream of short to medium-term projects that are perfectly suited to senior, skilled engineers who want the flexibility of part-time, yet stimulating work. These projects are commonly based in Australia but include international contracts as well.

We commonly have opportunities for:

• Road designers and drafters

• Construction engineers

• Quantity surveyors

• Project controls managers

• Inspectors.

Key competencies

​

We are generally looking for people with 15 years of experience or more, who are proven self-starters. Ideal competencies include:

• Strong site experience in Australian heavy civil works

• Proven capability as a senior project engineer in earthworks, pavements or similar

• Expertise in constructing mass hauls – if these acronyms get your blood pumping then you just may be for us…BCM, LCM, CCM, AWHL, PI, CBR, OMC, EMC, MDD and MMDD

• Good understanding of typical plant in Australia, including their strengths and limitations

• Knowledge of the main earthworks specifications used in Australia

• Knowledge of Autocad 3D for road design (preferred but not essential)

• Familiarity with project management plans and processes, and the ability to adapt these to client requirements

• The ability to travel as required, including for rostered work away from home.

Our team includes industry leaders in civil infrastructure and mine engineering. We have worked with, and consulted to, tier one and two construction and mining companies for more than 30 years. We are a supportive team, but we also rely on each team member taking initiative and effectively managing their own projects. However, be assured, we rally whenever we need to.
