Trevor brings more than 50 years’ experience as a civil designer and transport specialist, with a proven track record across major infrastructure, mining and energy projects. His career spans senior roles with EIC Activities, GHD and Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, where he contributed to a wide range of major projects within multi-disciplinary teams. This depth of experience underpins his strength in design optioneering, staging strategies and program development, often identifying issues well before they arise. Trevor specialises in haul and access road design, and associated intersection, earthworks and drainage works, to Austroads and local road agency requirements. He consistently translates early concepts into practical, fit-for-purpose detailed designs that support efficient construction and effective long-term performance. Trevor expertly navigates complex geometry, interfaces and project constraints to deliver adaptable design outcomes. His strong attention to detail and commitment to quality offer further advantages, particularly in contexts demanding an iterative, flexible process.
 

Frank’s civil engineering career spans more than 16 years with Transport for New South Wales and Shellharbour City Council prior to joining CEA. He specialises in road design, and strategic and concept optioneering, always seeking the best value for projects. This includes Frank’s ability to design around natural and infrastructure constraints in diverse environments. His capability is reinforced by advanced digital engineering, including 3D visualisations, to support design development and decision-making. Frank also offers deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and how to achieve holistic compliance, factoring in areas such as environmental management. He integrates this knowledge, alongside pragmatic estimating, to inform design and investment decisions. As a strong collaborator, Frank works closely with project teams to ensure well-coordinated outcomes and a smooth transition from design through to delivery. He also shares his passion for civil design via keynote presentations, encouraging people to think broadly toward truly integrated civil design solutions and to inspire outside-the-box approaches to engineering.

Sabastian offers more than a decade of experience delivering civil and infrastructure projects across major infrastructure, mine, renewables and water storage projects, in brownfield and greenfield environments. He combines technical design skill with practical delivery expertise to create cost-effective, construction-ready solutions. His approach ensures that construction methodology, staging, space-proofing and program logic are fully considered during design and planning, backed by 3D modelling to test and refine outcomes. Sabastian’s natural flair for technology is also seeing him develop digital engineering tools and workflows that improve safety, compliance and efficiency well before construction begins. He actively draws on his experience in bulk earthworks, pavements, drainage, structures, utilities and site infrastructure on projects such as North East Link and Monash Freeway Upgrade Stage 2. As a result, from technical design reviews and clash detection, to construction verification and quality documentation, he contributes to better outcomes in safety, quality, cost and program certainty.

Mike’s 12-year career spans diverse civil construction projects, working with government and contractor stakeholders. With a focus on the design side of civil projects, and a specialisation in road infrastructure, Mike is a valued part of the CEA team. His analytical approach and attention to detail deliver fast, accurate outputs in areas such as auditing and compliance assessments through to full design development. His ability to identify risks and opportunities early adds significant value throughout the design process. He brings a practical and innovative mindset to drafting, producing smart and sometimes unconventional solutions that add measurable value to clients. Mike also has strong expertise in digital engineering, including strong proficiency in Autodesk tools. This supports the delivery of coordinated, high-quality digital engineering solutions aligned to construction and operational requirements. His capability perfectly aligns with CEA’s commitment to ensuring timely, flexible services, and providing solutions that work cohesively within a wider project context.

Jyn brings to CEA a wealth of diverse business experience, gained over more than a decade. Past roles have included account management, operations management, coordination, communication and team leadership responsibilities in logistics, importing, health and consumer environments. Through these, Jyn has gained a strong understanding of the demands of regulated operations, and an appreciation of the impact of effective document control on compliance, traceability and accountability. She is naturally organised and process-oriented, and skilled in maintaining attention to detail and a positive problem-solving mindset within a live, fast-moving environment. Jyn supports CEA’s engineers and our clients, ensuring smooth, efficient service delivery. This is backed by her passion for customer service and client coordination. Her innate entrepreneurial drive and proven capacity as a self-starter are assets to CEA as we help clients deliver outstanding design and construction solutions, and integrate these with an ever-growing digital information management context.
